DEAR PROSPECTIVE RUSHEE,
Congratulations on taking your first step towards joining Delta Sigma Pi at UCLA. As the premier co-ed business fraternity on campus, our organization is not only dedicated to business, but also to community service events and other social and extracurricular activities. The UCLA Xi Omicron chapter has an outstanding reputation for fostering lifelong bonds of brotherhood. In addition, you will be given the opportunity to gain professional development through our career workshops, informational sessions, and extensive alumni network.
As the Vice Presidents of Pledge Education this term, our responsibility is to educate, guide, and encourage you throughout the entirety of the pledge program to ensure that upon initiation, each pledge is ready to become an active brother of the Fraternity. The brothers of Delta Sigma Pi will help facilitate the program where we will lead you to becoming strong future business leaders. We promise our utmost commitment and dedication to you by providing resume workshops, self-enrichment programs, and other beneficial events that lie ahead.
Delta Sigma Pi represents professionalism, integrity, excellence, and most importantly brotherhood. While we are a professional organization, the foundation of our Fraternity rests upon the trust and respect that we have for one another as brothers of Delta Sigma Pi. While you are not yet a brother of the Fraternity, you have taken your first step into our chapter. We strongly encourage you to attend all of our recruitment events, where you will get the chance to learn more about us. As you meet all our brothers, keep in mind to be enthusiastic, but sincere –– be yourself.
We wish you the best of luck throughout our Recruitment Week and hope that you will enjoy all the events we have organized. We, as well as the rest of our brothers, are excited to network with all of you. We look forward to getting to know you, see you soon!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS RUSH?
Rush is a week-long series of events during which our chapter is able to meet, engage with, and recruit potential members. This is also a time for rushees to learn more about what Delta Sigma Pi has to offer and get to know all the active brothers. We hold rush twice a year - the beginning of fall quarter and the beginning of winter quarter.
WHAT IS A BID?
A bid is an invitation to participate in the pledge program in order to eventually join the fraternity as an active member.
DO I NEED TO BE A SPECIFIC MAJOR TO JOIN?
Nope - we welcome all majors! Our brothers come from a wide range of majors, including Biochemistry, Cognitive Science, Communications, Political Science, and more.
CAN I BE A MEMBER OF ANOTHER GREEK ORGANIZATION AND STILL JOIN?
You can be a member of both a social fraternity/sorority and a professional fraternity. However, you cannot be both a member of Delta Sigma Pi as well as another organization under the Professional Fraternity Council.
ARE ALL THE RECRUITMENT EVENTS MANDATORY?
It is highly encouraged for you to attend all the recruitment events, although they are not mandatory. Rushees who are able to attend all the events have more opportunities to meet active brothers and leave a lasting impression. The first two rush events are open to everyone, but the last three events are invite-only.
IF I DON'T GET A BID, CAN I RECRUIT AGAIN?
Yes! We encourage you to reapply if you didn't get a bid. Some of our brothers have applied once, some have applied twice, and some have applied three times.
